out of this world. chanel spring summer 2026.

For as long as I can remember, Chanel has been the ultimate brand I’ve obsessed over. My very first Chanel piece was a tweed hair clip I saved for at age 13 and yes, I still have it. That tiny emblem of luxury sparked something in me; an early fascination with the world of Chanel that only deepened over time.

As my obsession grew, so did my wishlist. I still remember the feeling of buying my first Chanel bag in Paris, that indescribable mix of excitement, reverence, and awe. No matter how many pieces I’ve collected since, that same rush of emotion remains, like stepping once again into a dream I never quite want to end.

At one point, I even sent my then boyfriend (now husband) on a Chanel search across Europe during a (boys’ trip) to find a mushroom coloured nail polish and a set of temporary tattoos. Of course he secured the goods and more. 

So you can imagine my delight this morning, waking up at 430am so that I was ready for showtime. What Matthieu Blazy created felt out of this world. It reignited my love for Chanel all over again. The collection was modern and fresh, yet unmistakably Chanel, that perfect balance of evolution and heritage.  We  saw a modern take on the signature tweed, metallic crashed 2.55 bag, the new two shoe shoe, clean, graphic lines in black and white contrasted with fluid knitted silks and draping. Jewels of layered pearls and planet like stones. Everything felt worn in, a feeling of being put together yet still very cool. The set design was incredible, transforming the Grand Palais into cosmic themed environment with floating planets and celestial references. The music well that was something else, it transported me into a whole new world, one which I hope to live in everyday. 

As Blazy said, “Chanel is about love. The birth of modernity in fashion comes from a love story… it has no time or space; this is an idea of freedom. The freedom worn and won by Gabrielle Chanel.”

And that’s exactly what this collection captured, timeless freedom, told through love. Countdown to the collection begins.
