Meet Emrys
What are you known for? Sourcing vintage fine jewellery!
The one fashion item that you couldn’t live without. Denim.
A rare piece you have recently sourced for a client. A client of mine really wanted a tubogas collar. They are quite hard to find in good condition, so I was thrilled to buy two from my dealer in Paris. Both were quickly snapped up.
The one piece you wish you never sold and kept. One piece I do think about is an antique 15ct gold bangle with an engraved vine motif, and placed diamonds. Also, a really rare Cartier chrysoprase ring set with diamonds. It didn't fit me and wasn't resizable but it was a Cinderella moment for one of my dear clients. Everything finds the perfect home so I never regret but some pieces I part with do stay top of mind...!
items on your Wishlist. A few pieces on my longterm wishlist are - 1) A Cartier constellation ring... they're not in production anymore so I have been looking for one in my size for years as they are not resizable. 2) A special piece with an alexandrite... my daughter's birthstone. 3) an original antique diamond riviera necklace.
Last item you purchased. Hermes sandals. It is still raining in Sydney but mentally I am in spring.
Investment or trend. Of course investment but I think when you know your own style really well you can add things to your wardrobe that update and feel quite 'current' without hating them next year.
